Phoenix Design Studio Munich
Location: Phoenix Design, Studio München, Theresienhöhe 30, Entrance Hans-Fischer-Str. 10, 80339 München.
In October 2015, Stuttgart-based design studio Phoenix Design opened a new branch office in Munich. Managing Directors Andreas Haug, Tom Schönherr, Harald Lutz and Bernd Eigenstetter thus take action in the face of the company’s pronounced growth in the areas of Visual Interface Design and User Experience Design.
In addition to expansion requirements and being close to the clients, recruiting is a major consideration. “A great plus for Munich is the proximity to existing clients, the inspiring atmosphere and a great potential of good, creative designers who love living here and want to keep their private and family life in this city”, says Tom Schönherr, Phoenix Design Managing Partner. The design studio will be an attractive point of contact both for clients and talent in the greater Munich area. Over the next few months, the Bavarian branch office is to grow to a double-digit number of employees.
For the current business year, Phoenix Design anticipates a strong growth in the UX area. “The business with existing and new clients develops just great and grows sustainably. This also holds true for the ever more closely interlocking design of products and digital interfaces”, says Managing Director Bernd Eigenstetter. He joined the Management of the Phoenix Design team with currently 60 employees as its fourth member this past spring.
Responsible for the Interior Design of the new location is Ippolito Fleitz Group – Identity Architects, whose creative achievements have already been honoured by numerous international awards. The complex challenge to spatially represent the Phoenix Design philosophy, while at the same time taking into account the necessities of team processes and stipulations of non-disclosure and confidentiality, has been solved by Peter Ippolito and his team with the result of creating an inspiring and open office concept.
Among the Phoenix Design clients are companies like Audi, Axor, Duravit, Hansgrohe, Hewi, Hirschmann, Huawei, Hüppe, Osram, Samsung, Selux, Trumpf, Viessmann, Vorwerk and Zeiss. For many years now, Phoenix Design has maintained the top rank at the iF ranking creative “design offices” of the iF Design Awards and has received more than 750 design awards since its foundation in 1987 – the last 400 of which only in the past 8 years. Phoenix Design is regarded as the leading independent design studio worldwide for Product and Interface Design. Consistently user-focused and brand-typical: That’s how Phoenix Design develops products and product portfolios all the way to digital interfaces. This takes places in an atmosphere of open exchange among interdisciplinary design teams and the clients. It is always the goal to create situations where users can experience the identity of the brand in way that truly touches them.
