  • Red Dot Award: Best of the Best 2017

    Phoenix Design, with their client Hansgrohe SE, wins the top award “Red Dot Award: Best of the Best” for the KitchenSinkCombi C71. In January 2017, the kitchen sink combinations were first presented at IMM Cologne, and now they already receive the coveted quality seal for the new kitchen market.

  • The Dictate of Brand Management

    Tom Schönherr is co-author of the book on sustainable brand management and implementation published by Gabler. Tom Schönherr's point of view in his article "Erst Design macht Marken (be-)greifbar" ("Only Design Makes Brands Tangible and Understandable") is: "Brand design is a marathon, not a sprint." In his opinion, this is valid for both consumers and suppliers.

  • Welcome, Hackers!

    From 5–7 May 2017, the first Munich AngelHack took place in the Phoenix Design studio. Besides urban centres like New York City or Hong Kong, Munich is the first of more than 60 stations of this year’s world tour. Some 40 entrepreneurs, developers and designers convened for the Hackathon over the weekend in order to realise their ideas on the topic of SMART HOME. 

  • Bicycle Brand Contest 2017

    Exactly 200 years after the invention of the bicycle, the German Design Council offers – for the second time – awards honouring outstanding product and communication design in the bicycle industry. The focus of this international competition is on accomplished staging and execution of brand management and communication. Andreas Haug, Managing Partner and founder of Phoenix Design, is part of the jury which will chose the winners on 25 April 2017. Regarding his interview in the Bicycle Brand Contest 2016 Magazine one can guess what the passionate cyclist this year pays attention to.

  • A week MCBW with Phoenix Design

    The Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) taking place 4–12 March, once again attracted top designers, architects, creatives, and business representatives from all over the world to meet in the Bavarian State capital. According to the motto of “The Smart Revolution”, design studios, galleries, and businesses opened their doors for exhibitions, workshops, and lectures. Hardly a day went by without some contribution by Phoenix Design.

  • Luminous drone "bat"

    The Phoenix Design Academy is an Innovation Lab for young and experienced designers, where they can realise and share their visions. The joint claim is to work on topics relevant for society, and to find new solutions for current problems. As project leaders, the students pass through the entire creative process, from finding the first idea via iterative prototyping all the way to the product which can be put into practice. They are accompanied by their mentor Sven Feustel, Design Team Manager with Phoenix Design, and by other specialists from the Phoenix team.

We welcome Bernd Eigenstetter (third from the left) as the fourth member of the Managing Board, which he joined as Managing Director.     Phoenix Design Academy: Animo – the "Fresh" Kitchen of the Future. When storing food, we so far have to take recourse to ordering systems which in no way live up to our wishes and needs in terms of emotional aesthetics and functionality.  How can we appropriately present food in a visually appealing way? “Animo” is an ordering system offering users the opportunity to create their individual order by rearranging the individual components.

  • ZEISS: Visualised Precision.

    Phoenix Design has designed a new generation of ZEISS lenses, characterised by outstandingly user-friendly, integrative and elegant shapes. Thanks to this, all designs have received the iF product design award; the wide-angle lens 1.8/32 for mirrorless system cameras even received the iF gold accolade. (303)
